NNAAPTM Certification

Nurses studying with the intent to become CNAs or Certified Nursing Assistants need to pass the NNAAP exam to certify as a CNA. The National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) is the largest nurse aide certification examination program in the United States. The NNAAP has been administered to more than one million candidates and is the leading nurse aide assessment instrument in the U.S. The purpose of the NNAAP Examination is to make sure that you understand and can safely perform the job of an entry-level nurse aide. The nurse aide exam consists of two components; a written component and a skills-demonstration portion. The written component is also offered as an oral exam that is offered in English and Spanish. Each candidate must successfully complete both components of the exam before a state can add their name to the state nurse aide registry. The state registry is used to assure employers that the potential hire has met the federal and state requirements for employment. The two parts of examination process, the Written (or Oral) Examination and the Skills Evaluation, will be administered on the same day. You must pass both parts in order to be certified and listed on the State Nurse Aide Registry.

At this time, 24 NCSBN jurisdictions utilize the NNAAP exam to determine nurse aide competency. If you are a resident of one of the following states, you will need to take the NNAAP exam to certify as a CNA. These states include: Alabama, Alaska, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Georgia, Guam, Louisiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Virgin Islands, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming. Vipra Med will modify the list of states as they recognize NNAAP certification.

Invest in yourself,   Prepare with Confidence.

Vipra Med offers web based online practice exams and learning for the NNAAP exams. The NNAAP examination uses items with a single response multiple-choice format. All items are developed and validated using the expertise of practicing nurses, educators and regulators from throughout the country. The NNAAP examination content is revised based on a practice analysis conducted every three years.  The majority of test items are written at the application or entry level nursing skills, but the exam may include items at higher cognitive levels as well.  Most of the questions of the NNAAP® exam are worded multiple choice questions.

Our strategy is to provide you with challenging questions and parallel content that will likely appear on the actual test. The combination of detailed explanations with each question presents an unrivalled learning experience. The Vipra Med NNAAP review exams will benefit your critical thinking, judgment, and test-taking skills. The Vipra Med Qbank is designed as a learning tool, and not for mere assessment of your knowledge. Our NNAAP Qbanks have been developed by Registered Nurses and Medical Professionals who bring you the real life experience along with high quality testing content that parallels and rivals that of the actual exam. Our Qbanks include high yield content that may appear on the 2012 NNAAP exam. The Vipra NNAAP tests have been updated with the latest version 1.4 content that will let you ace the NNAAP exam with high scores on the first attempt.
