BCEN® Certification Exams
The BCEN® (Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing) administers the CEN®,
CFRN® and CTRN® specialized certification exams. There exams are computer based
adaptive tests of advanced nursing knowledge and skills. Passing the NCLEX-RN®
exam is a requirement for CEN®, CFRN® and CTRN® candidates. BCEN® examinations are
designed to test the knowledge, skills and abilities essential to the safe and
effective practice of emergency nursing at the advanced level. BCEN® examinations are
provided in a computerized adaptive testing format. The computerized adaptive
method for administering tests merges computer technology with modern
measurement theory to increase the efficiency of the testing process.
CCI® Certification Exams
The CCI® (Competency and Credentialing Institute) administers the CNOR® and CRNFA®
specialized certification exams. These exams are computer based adaptive tests
of advanced nursing knowledge and skills. Passing the NCLEX-RN® exam is
requirement for CNOR® or CRNFA® candidates. CCI® examinations are designed to test
the knowledge, skills and abilities essential to the safe and effective practice
of operation theater nursing at the advanced level. CCI® examinations are provided in a
computerized adaptive testing format. The computerized adaptive method for
administering tests merges computer technology with modern measurement theory to
increase the efficiency of the testing process.
